Surprise visit to Delhi Deputy CM Sisodia, pulled by PWD officials

A surprise inspection of the road stretching between ITO and Tilak Bridge on Wednesday led Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia to issue a warning to Public Works Department (PWD) officials for lack of maintenance.

Officials said Sisodia noticed that the roads, footbridges and aesthetics of the roads were very poorly maintained. “We are determined to make Delhi’s roads beautiful and passenger-friendly. No relaxation will be tolerated by the authorities, ”Sisodia said.

Sisodia took charge of PWD after the Enforcement Directorate arrested Satyendra Jain on money laundering charges.

Sisodia Tilak inspected the road signs and lifts for the skywalk near the bridge. “Officers must follow maintenance standards set by the government, which include clean-up, landscaping,” he said.
